What are Felt Tiles?

Felt tiles are our standard roofing on our Garden Room range.

Felt shingles, also known as roofing felt shingles, are a type of roofing material used for residential and commercial buildings. They are made from a base material of felt, which is often reinforced with fiberglass or polyester, and then coated with asphalt for waterproofing.

Felt shingles come in a variety of shapes and sizes, including rectangular, hexagonal, and diamond-shaped. They are usually installed in overlapping rows, starting at the bottom edge of the roof and working upwards. The overlapping design helps to prevent water from seeping under the shingles and into the building.

Felt shingles are a popular roofing material because they are relatively affordable, easy to install, and durable. They also come in a range of colors and styles, making it easy to find a design that complements the overall look of the building. However, they may not be suitable for all climates or weather conditions, as they can be prone to damage from high winds and heavy rainfall.
